Description
Built in ChCh and did only 2850 miles before being sold to its second owner in 1990- bought by me in 2018 with 5000 miles on clock ( speedo and odometer are in miles) To clarify given there are so many questions regarding its history, it is not a genuine Super 7 and doesn’t claim to be( it was built in chch) The builder built it to Super 7 plans and where possible trying to be as authentic as possible importing all badges and decals to try and make it look the part The original owner contacted me and has supplied me with all original build photos from drawings on the garage floor and through all stages of the build/ it’s quite impressive It was however registered as Super 7 - this is on the original ownership papers I hope this provides some clarity
Car did some hill climbs with first owner- engine fully rebuilt by second owner then shed stored for 28 years- serviced and Wof every year Engine is a 1800 3T bottom end with Celica 2TG head- head cover was hand milled to suit Celica 5 speed gearbox and Datsun B210 diff with Triumph Herald front end As you can see from the detail- no expense has been spared to create and maintain this car I have replaced all the electrics and points replaced with an Igniter system Solex carbs professionally rebuilt 2025 with genuine rebuild kit- has made a significant difference in the performance New battery fitted last year Rear suspension bushes replaced Radiator removed, flushed and bottom outlet re-sited for better flow. When I bought the car, I had the sump rebuilt and had an extra bash plate fitted which as you can see is doing its job very well I’m 6ft tall and it fits me perfectly- depending on the length of your leg you might get away with being a bit taller This car is an appreciating classic - driven or stored
