1970 MG MGB GT
Description
Good condition. A lot of work was done a number of years ago. Folder full of photos and receipts to accompany it.
Some paint cracking. There’s a dent in the boot also. It’s solid underneath and in the sills though. Rust treated.
Would benefit from a paint freshen but it's perfectly serviceable as is and an extremely cheap chance to get into a classic MGB with prices steadily rising worldwide.
Seats have little splits in stitching but work well. No head rests.
Engine runs extremely well on twin SU’s. I’ve driven this from Dunedin to Christchurch and all around Canterbury to various car shows. It goes very well and keeps up with modern traffic just fine.
The gearbox has been replaced with a Toyota 5-spd. The ratios are perfect for the car and do away with the requirement for an overdrive. This has been certified.
Starts every time and all gauges electrics work.
