1967 MG MGB Roadster Roadster
Background check
Description
1967 MGB Roadster, great little car, set up for touring and has done many trips around NZ in the hands of the previous owners, doing various events and we’ve done a couple of long road trips in it too and it’s proven to be very reliable. Passed its last WoF inspection with no issues at all. We had a sidevalve Morris Minor that was pretty much landlocked in terms of going places and taking part in events etc, so we decided to upgrade and get the MGB. We’ve just purchased an OHV Minor Convertible which is what we really wanted, so the MGB is now surplus to requirements. This MGB is a solid little car, very reliable, starts easy every time, electric fuel pump, 5 speed Toyota gearbox fitted and certified, alloy bonnet, and comes with a soft top and tonneau cover. Paint isn’t perfect, but is presentable, and if we don’t get the asking price we’ll keep it, paint it, then relist it and adjust the asking price accordingly. Km’s/miles listed on this ad aren’t accurate and I will update them when I can, car is currently in storage. Txt message or call for more info.
Questions & Answers
Do you mechanical history at least since you have owned it. Did you fit the gearbox ? aeration (42 • 3:28 pm, Wed, 25 Mar )Hi , we have a brief & well explained history of the car, from the UK, to when it arrived in NZ in 1983. We’ve only had it a year, in that time I’ve done a few small items, some gaskets, a wheel cylinder, upgraded the electric pump, rear axle check straps. The gearbox was fitted in the late 90’s. The last owners had the car from 2002 and in their ownership they had the gearbox checked and overhauled, then in 2023 they got it LVVTA certified. British Motor Industry Trust Cert also included. pcja (11 • Wednesday, 25 March 2026 )Hi, do you have any photos of the boot interior. Has there been any suspension replacements Shock absorbers, springs etc, is there any rust issues, wheel arches, door sills, floor interior and boot. The photos show quite an original car, if this is so I am quite interested zac41 (193 • 12:39 pm, Thu, 9 Apr )
