1992 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution 1 RS

My 1992 Evo 1 RS is for sale, it has been a beloved member of my family for the past 12 years and it's moved with me all around the country in that time. It’s been in dry storage for the past 5 years and the Reg is on hold. Only selling due to a (expensive) wedding just around the corner.

Only a handful of these made it to NZ after production in 1992 and even fewer are still around. This is your chance to grab the iconic original evolution in the rare RS variant as it transitions into a collectors item with value only increasing.

A few bolt on parts have been added by my younger self including: Fixed back bucket seats bolting to original rails Custom Steve Murch MSE TD06 turbo Custom exhaust manifold with 38mm external wastegate plumbed in Evo 3 kit Brand new battery, leads, plugs, oil, coolant, fuel pump, clutch master and slave cylinders all replaced this month.

I've taken it for a few short drives over the last few weeks and it starts and runs with no issues. Only 5000kms have been done during my ownership.

Things needing work: Paint is average, it had a closed door respray in 2020 (single stage W83) and was then stored with masking tape still applied which is hard to get off after 5 years. Also paint correction was not done post respray so it would benefit from a proper cut and polish. Door cards are in average condition and rear seat is has stitching coming apart.

After moving house a few times over the years, the following parts have gone missing and are currently not installed: Boot seal, front windscreen garnish, roof mouldings, rear and front windscreen weather seals.

There is rust at the boot latch and early signs of roof rust (both common spots for this model, pictures have been added). Windscreen also has a crack in it.
