2000 Nissan 200SX Sports
Background check
Description
This was my dream car and daily runabout until 2020. After Covid and the arrival of a tiny person 'she' has been largely undriven and under cover - last year only added ~100km to the clock. It seems like a waste to have 'her' continue to sit unused, so its time to let someone else use and love her, as much as it hurts to let her go crying
Last service and warrant the front brakes were redone. Back tyres were warrantable, but getting close - as part of the sale I will also include 2 extra tyres that have had some use, but still lots of life left (took them off when it was cheaper to do a full new set). The current battery is pretty bad after 10yrs + sitting, so she will come with a new battery on purchase. Also current photos show after market rear tail lights - but the stock ones are currently installed. For some reason after getting WOFs with no issues for +10yrs on the aftermarkets, this year would only pass with stocks back in. Both sets will come with her.
'She' is unmodified and completely stock, aside from a gearbox conversion from automatic to manual prior to me owning her.
Given her age her paint isn't perfect, the roof in particular is showing the impacts of NZ sun. The clear top coat is starting to detach as seen in the photos. Also coming off a bit on the spoiler. A few minor dents, from loose stones or errant trolleys! She has been regularly serviced prior to and during my ownership - I should be able to dig out the original manual as well.
The 1 quirk that has just started is the fuel sensor taking a little bit to wake up. It will sometimes indicate an empty tank, but generally comes right after a minute or 2.
Alarm + immobilizer, with a kill switch installed prior to my ownership.
Happy to answer any questions. Please note, the personalized plates are not included in the sale and will be changed prior.
Questions & Answers
If it's NZ New, why does it have a 180kph speedo? NZ New cars have 200+kph speedos from factory.
