2014 Peugeot 208 Manual
Description
Tidy and well cared for 5 speed Manual Peugeot. I love this little car but i need something bigger.
I have owned it for about 18 months and it has taken me from Tadmor to Collingwood every week (270km round trip) with no issues. It is excellent on fuel. That round trip to Collingwood costs $45-$50. It's a nippy car and holds its power going uphill. Paintwork is great with just a few minor very minor dings.
The car will need oil top up more than usual. It is not a leak but according to mechanic the oil rings have lost their tension and some oil is escaping into the combustion chamber. There are no overheating issues and no obvious blue smoke. I have been doing 500km ish a week in the car so have needed to top it up every 3 weeks but if you're just using it around town and driving less kms than i was, it would be much less. I bought the car knowing this and it has driven brilliantly.
I have priced the car taking this into consideration. It has a fresh WOF, battery and sevice and two new front tyres.
Car was listed a few weeks ago but sale not followed through as the engine light came on and it went to 'limp mode'. Two different mechanics have not been able to identify the cause and faults. According to auto electrician (see photo of notes for details) they could have arise due to faulty battery and/or needing a service. Both have now been done and car has been driving fine with no repeat of faults. I can provide all paperwork. The car is being sold with honest description. As is where is.
Located in Tadmor near Tapawera.
