Fresh WOF & Rego Service Update - Carrera Sport Pirongia - At approx. 88,000 km the transmission was removed to inspect/replace the IMS bearing. During that job it was confirmed the engine had already been upgraded to the later factory IMS bearing assembly (the stronger factory-updated type). This is a major positive, as it eliminates one of the biggest concerns with early M96 engines.

I’ve already sold my 2005 Boxster S, and this is the last one to go. Ownership history (verified NZ records): 2006–2011: First NZ owner (Khord Holdings Ltd) 2011–2024: Second private owner (owned it for 13 years) 2024–Now: Us (current owners) The car had 119,828 km on it when we purchased it.
