Much loved car owned it for 21 years. A move to the South Island forces reluctant sale. Full pressure turbo 5 speed manual 2.0 litre engine. private plate NZSAAB
Mechanically sound, had lot of recent work (spend more on repairs than I am asking for car). Has passed the last 3 WOF's with no issues.
Paint work good, (charcoal) only a few minor imperfections that are hardy noticeable.
Original spec, including aero alloy wheels, APC engine management unit. Had a replacement canvas soft top roof fitted in 2015 Automatic roof recline takes 7 seconds up/down.
Buffalo grey leather interior very comfortable. Proper 4 seater with decent space in the back.
electric windows (some not working) mirrors, aerial, wipers on front lights
air-con -used to work and expect just needs re-gassing includes 3 piece hard tonneau cover for extra styling when the top is down (worth $800)
Well maintained car, quick, elegant and over engineered, well ahead of its time. this car would of cost $85,000 new in 1988.
This car is a trill to drive. will be sorely missed. Great example and ideal for summer top down, turbo action fun. Not without some minor issues, there's a few things that dont work mainly cruise control and the heater.
This is an iconic Saab AG model. Appreciating classic unlike the post 1994 GM Saabs or NG (Next Generation /No Good ) models.
The classic Saab 900 has gained somewhat of a cult following. Also a quirky never used Nokia spare wheel/tyre. Note: Saab convertibles were manufactured in Finland and Nokia were then a rubber company.
