2013 Blue Skoda Fabia VRS – Project or Mechanic Special Well-loved, great handling, DSG gearbox needs attention – Manawatu Looking for a new home for my blue 2013 Skoda Fabia, located in Manawatu. It’s done 119,000 km and has been in the family for over 5 years. The exterior is in fairly good condition and it comes with a service history, so you’ll know it’s been looked after. It is turbo charged and is super quick and there not many VRS available in the country.

Full transparency: the car has had two new clutches installed recently. The DSG gearbox sometimes jerks between 3rd and 4th gear but not all the time– a basic transmission relearn has helped a bit, but it may need a mechatronic unit to run perfectly. Because of this, the Fabia is best suited to someone who’s handy with cars or wants a rewarding project. When running well, this car is quick, smooth, and handles tightly – no wonder Fabias are popular on the rally scene! When the clutches were replaced we did the reset and it identified that the mechatronic unit needs to be looked at. On occasions there is a slight shunt between 3rd and 4th. The mechatronic unit provides air pressure to the gearbox to enable smooth gear changes. Possibly losing pressure from this unit.
