Description
This is my 2006 BRABUS Forfour. These are super rare and is one of the few genuine Brabus products you will find in NZ.
They came from the factory like this - it's NOT some strange conversion or aftermarket kit.
So what did Brabus do to transform the otherwise mundane Smart Forfour? Well in short, a lot:
Engine & Drivetrain:
- 1.5L Turbo (4G15T) - 177hp & 230nm (bare in mind it only weighs 1,090kg!)
- Getrag 5-Speed MANUAL
- Brabus Exhaust
Suspension:
- Brabus Shocks (firm ride)
- Brabus Springs (sits nice and low)
Exterior:
- Brabus Front Lip
- Brabus Side Skirts
- Brabus Rear Valence
- Brabus Ducktail Spoiler
Interior:
- Heated Leather Seats (with Brabus embossed headrests)
- Brabus Gauges
- Brabus Shift Knob & Handbrake Boot
- Brabus Aluminium Pedals
Performance: 0-100km/h somewhere in the 6.Xs range. Handles extremely well.
Rarity:
- 1 of 1284 ever made
- 1 of 4 in NZ (this one is NZ New too!)
Heaps of recent work including:
- Cambelt
- Waterpump
- Rocker Cover Gasket
- Boost Solenoid
- Michelin Pilot Sport 4 Tyres
- Brake Rotors & Pads
- Alternator
- Electric Power Steering Motor
Car is factory (to my knowledge) aside from the aftermarket XXR wheels which are in superb condition.
I have owned it since November 2023. A lot of time and money was spent getting it back up to spec. Was a bit of a passion project.
This car is the complete package - it's light, powerful, handles extremely well and is super reliable. It is unquestionably the best hot hatch that no one knows about.
Let me know if you have any questions. Viewing by appointment only as the car is now in long term dry storage.
Plate isn’t included but can be sold separately.
Great alternative to an R53 Cooper S, Meganne RS, Golf GTI, etc... and far more reliable than all of them!
Questions & Answers
What work has been done on engine/ gearbox etc, engine recond. red243 (179 • 5:05 pm, Sat, 27 Dec )As the listing says, in the last 5,000km the engine has had it's cambelt, waterpump and rocker cover gasket replaced. These were all done with genuine Mitsubishi parts. The alternator has also been replaced in that time. The shifter bushing for the gearbox has also been replaced so the gearbox feels nice and tight. I have owned it since ~October 2023, it has been serviced 3 times in my ownership despite only travelling around 6,000km total as I am very fastidious. Castrol Edge oil always used. ba_nzl (4 • Saturday, 27 December 2025 )Hey mate, this is Ilya. I forgot your number. Looking for radiator for my forfour. Maybe you have a clue where to get it? Unfortunately I lost my spare car. You may still have my number. pestaside (1 • 4:21 pm, Mon, 5 Jan )
