2008 Subaru Exiga GT
Background check
Description
I had this Exiga GT advertised for sale earlier this year, when I had replaced it with a smaller daily driver. While the car was for sale my old van (in the background in picture 2 from earlier this year) unexpectedly died. Selling the Exiga then would have left me without a car big enough to transport the family’s fleet of bicycles around, so I decided to keep it. However, the beginning of cycling season is now making it abundantly clear that the Exiga, as versatile and big as it is, does not replace a fully grown van.
About the car: Exiga GT, EJ20 engine, 225 hp Currently 136,850 km Passed its last WOF in September 2025 without a problem at 135,674 km. Has warrant and rego until September 2026. Had its last service at 133,800 km. Transmission fluid was replaced at 124,000km Cambelt is due at 160,000km or in 2029.
The car has seven seats all of which are suitable for adults. We have driven this car all around New Zealand and would do it again without hesitation. While we had it, we did all maintenance work that was required (with receipts). In addition to regular services this included for example a pair of rear wheel bearings, front strut mounts, and a radiator.
With WOF, rego and service all up-to-date, the car is ready for the next summer trip.
