Dec 2014 Model S P85 (RWD, 4.4s 0-100) - the OG. I'm the only NZ owner for 4.5 years / 110,000km of use, ex-Japan. No money owing.

I still love this car but my wife says I need a ute so I'll get a Geely RD6 long-range 86kWh.

Why this one vs others?

• 85kWh battery in VG health -- 90% charge shows 332km real world range. When I got it in 2021 it said 342km. (You can toggle this display to "rated" range rather than "typical" based on real consumption data, but "rated" is BS like other EV brands' claimed range figures.)
• Type 2 (22kW AC) charge port + Tesla genuine CCS2 charging (>100kW DC) + Chademo 50kW DC adaptor
• Free Unlimited Supercharging for life
• MCU2 + 4G modem upgrade done (has a Skinny prepay SIM, Premium Connectivity included for Google Maps traffic, YouTube, Spotify etc so long as the SIM has data)
• 20" black SSW staggered (8.5" / 10" wide) alloys with VG rubber (245/40 front + 275/40 rear)
• Factory 19x8" alloys with 245/45 tyres also included as spares
• Towbar with 1+7/8" & 50mm balls (1600kg braked tow rating)
• Thule roof racks bolted into the mount points (only the opening Sunroof option offers this) [but not the 5x Proride bike racks]
• Rear Drive Unit (motor) replaced new by Tesla Auckland in Aug'23 due to the "milling/whining" sound that affected ~12% of this generation of Model S.
• Exterior door handles done (common fault), front suspension + new low voltage battery installed at last Oct'25 WOF service
