2018 Tesla Model X 100D
Background check
Description
Tesla Model X 100D 2018 - a premium electric SUV with plenty to offer.
This NZ new 7-seater station wagon provides ample room for family and gear, making it a great family vehicle for those wanting to go electric. The 100D variant hosts the largest battery in the fleet, offering great range and power for everyday use as well as family holidays. This Model X has the premium interior features, as well as the winter options (heated seats, steering wheel, wipers, rear vision mirrors) as well as a stealth tow bar (unused).
Our family has grown up and young ones gotten drivers licences themselves, so this vehicle is surplus to our requirements and we are dropping down in size, but looking forward to passing this big vehicle onto someone who needs 7 seats and is enthusiastic about EV travel. Incredibly smooth with air suspension and the ability to raise and lower depending on terrain.
The all-wheel drive system gives solid traction in various conditions, and though it's a larger vehicle, it's easy to drive. As an electric vehicle, it's very fuel efficient, saving on running costs compared to petrol cars.
Features:
- Seven-seat layout with roomy interior
- All-wheel drive
- Distinctive falcon-wing rear doors
- Large touchscreen control system
- Reversing camera for easier parking
- Comes with a (USA) tow bar
- Alarm system and sentry cameras for security
- Regularly serviced.
- Upgraded HW3 FSD computer and MCU 2.
The car is in a tidy condition (especially for 8 years old) and good working order. Regularly serviced. Auction set to end after a 9 April WOF with Tesla. Would probably swap out the 0FUMES plate - unless you want to negotiate some miniscule price to keep it... Odometer at time of auction listing - car being used a little each day. Will ensure at least 3000km of RUC for purchaser!

Questions & Answers
Does this have FSD or Enhanced auto pilot. Garage door openet/homlink. Is there ludicrous or ludicrous + tazmad (436 • 6:20 pm, Wed, 28 Jan )Hello. Yes - it comes with Homelink as part of the Premium interior configuration. It will not include FSD or EAP at the time of sale as I'm transferring them off in the next few days - so includes the basic "Autopilot", but the FSD features are available by monthly subscription. These features are presently limited for HW3 cars (all but the newest cars have HW3) but include self navigating motorways and recognising traffic lights (sort of) and Smart Summon. Very fast to 100km/h but not a P100D amkane (199 • Wednesday, 28 January 2026 )Garage door opener/homelink. Bloody fat fingers 🤣🤣. Also does it have premium connectivity tazmad (436 • 6:25 pm, Wed, 28 Jan )The (unlimited) Premium Connectivity (which it does have at the present time) is removed when I am no longer the owner. When I purchased it, one of the features was unlimited Premium Connectivity, but that was only ever while I was the owner. So like all "new" Teslas, you can subscribe (monthly) to Premium Connectivity if you wish, or use a personal WiFi Hotspot on your phone for streaming. Check with Gemini about what you "miss" by using a Hotspot. It is not much! amkane (199 • Wednesday, 28 January 2026 )Real world distance on full charge, battery health? AotearoaNZ777 (3 • 6:45 am, Thu, 29 Jan )It depends on how and where you drive. I’ve never needed to drive the battery to empty. The sensors delivered to “Home Assistant” using the Tesla Fleet API says battery range is 417.9km. My daily drive yesterday used 21.1kWh, and is 60km but that includes the car being cooled while parked for the day. 70% of my commute is at 100km/h. 80% charge "states" 335km. Present tyres (a few thousand km) have averaged 230Wh/km. TBH I've done plenty of long trips, never worry about range and judge 10%=40km amkane (199 • Thursday, 29 January 2026 )Just want to acknowledge those who are making good offers and I recognise that the length of this auction might mean you need to make choices to take other vehicles instead. However, the reason for the April end is so that I can do the WOF in early April and have Tesla do some regular maintenance before passing this car on. The maintenance is a re-balance of the Falcon-wing doors (I do this every 2-3 years to prevent excessive scuffing) and fix a middle seat that isn't folding down "properly." Seller comment Friday, 30 January 2026 Hi all. As we are nearing the reserve price for this auction, I'd like to help with a couple of pointers to make the process fair for everyone involved. - Leave any Autobids until the last few days. Autobids effectively stop your ability to enter in other auctions and are unfair to the next bidder if you need to withdraw. - Please only bid what you can afford. The car WILL sell at the market value determined by this auction; (I don't want to spend another $350 to list again!) Seller comment Saturday, 21 February 2026
