2002 Toyota Hilux Td Sr5 D/C
Background check
Description
ELVIS is looking for his next adventure! (And it's a crime to park him up in suburbia any longer...)
The workhorse Hilux that you know and love: 3L turbo diesel, 4WD, manual, dual cab. Upgraded with a larger aluminium flatbed (drop-down sides), and more aggressive tyres (for farming or off-roading).
A few minor dents and dings, as expected for a truck this age. The clear-coat has chipped off in several places (as pictured). And the clock has fallen into the console, but is still attached / works.
SONY (full-band) stereo installed several years ago, with CD, auxiliary input and even a remote (lol).
Purchased from Otago Tyres in South Dunedin in 2020, and serviced there ever since. Recently tidied and polished up (after years of roadies with our pups).
Routine maintenance to bearings / suspension, battery, tie rods, etc since 2020. No major service needed -- as only driven 30,000km in the past 5 years.
Rego thru end of Jan 2026 (can extend by 3 mo), WOF thru Aug 2026, more than 1,000km of RUCs to go.
He's big, grunty, and hauls like a champ. But Elvis deserves a new home for the New Year, where he'll be put to good use.
Questions & Answers

Just the upgraded flatbed. kecia72 (68 • Tuesday, 16 December 2025 )hi any issues with the air con, when was the last cambelt done and can ya post pics of underneath if it has any rust etc? Cheers murph440 (111 • 3:05 pm, Fri, 19 Dec )Air con works great. Haven't done the cambelt ourselves (only driven 30k kms in 5 years), but Otago Tyres might now. No rust at last WOF inspection -- might take a few days to post a pic as it's parked up elsewhere just now. But will try! kecia72 (68 • Friday, 19 December 2025 )Open to swaps? ezyduzit808 (3 • 3:09 pm, Fri, 26 Dec )Nope, sorry.
