1980 Triumph Other TR7 Droptop - Barn find- De Registered
Description
Letting go of my 1980 Triumph TR7 Droptop convertible. This British sports car comes with the 2.0-litre Triumph petrol engine and 5 speed Rover manual gearbox. The TR7 is known for its distinctive wedge-shaped design and pop-up headlights that set it apart from other sports cars of its time.
Barn find needing plenty of attention. Deregistered. Was running till it was parked up 35 years ago. Maybe good for a project or plenty of spare parts for yours.
This example needs extensive body work all over.
The convertible version is rarer than the hardtop TR7, making it a good project for classic car fans. It's a two-seater with all the charm of an old British sports car.
The car has its quirks, like many old British cars. Parts can be found from specialists, and there are active owner clubs for support and advice.
The TR7 was one of the last Triumph sports cars produced, giving it some historical significance. If you're looking for a project car with classic appeal and open-top driving potential, this TR7 could be just what you're after. Feel free to get in touch if you'd like more details about what work it needs although the photos present it honestly.
