1978 Triumph Other 2500 S
Description
I have had someone poibt out a couple of faults so I am sorry I will be removing from sale until i have sort the faults. Hence the high reserve and high buy now. This is an awesome car, we have owned it for 14 years and now find I don't drive it often enough and could do with the garage space for other projects. In truth the longest trips in the last few years have been to the Garage for WOF and the odd monthly British Car Club run. It is a beautiful collectors car was repainted professionally early 2014 though could do with a cut and polish and has a couple of minor scratches. During my ownership I have only had to repair the radiator which had a pin off leak in the header tank and replaced front wheel bearings. The car is totally originally apart from the colour which had been repainted when I purchased it from Christchurch. It could do with new front carpets. It will come with hand books and there are receipts right back to 1978 and as far as I can tell it is 99,447 original kms, (please read my comments in the Questions and answers, After doing a lot of research I think the kms should be 199447km, and the chances that it is coming to 300,00km are extremely remote) I certainly haven't put many kms on in the past 14 years. I purchased the Triumph from Christchurch when I was working up there and have owned a PI and a TC over the years but the S has been the best. I had put an after market dash cover on that covers the slight cracks that develop in the plastic above the dash. The front seats have very good covers but it does hide a slight failure in the seat vinyl on the driver side. I do have a covering off a rear seat that I was going to use to recover the drivers seat (same colour) but haven't got to it. The 4 speed with electric overdrive works well. The drivers seat has a retractable seat belt and the front passenger is original.
