1975 Triumph Other 2500TC
Background check
This vehicle has been de-registered in the past and then registered again. The registration may have expired because the licence was not kept current or it may have been in an accident and written off by an insurance company.
Description
Family owned for more than 25 years, this stock standard, 1975 Triumph 2500TC is in very good, original condition.
Over the past 25 years, the engine has been reconditioned, steering rack and brakes replaced, the rear suspension has been re-built, shock absorbers replaced, etc. This service history is contained in the log book you can see on the front passenger seat.
Not a service has been missed and everything has been recorded. Similarly, the car has been meticulously looked after. It featured in a book on NZ car assembly, just before we bought it.
Exterior-wise, the original paint is excellent. There is no rust. The spare wheel compartment (pictured) is a testament to that.
The interior is lovely. No splits on the dash or seats. The carpets are still good. The car also has seat belts, front and rear.
The car rides like a large Triumph saloon should. The manual gearbox is precise (note, no overdrive or power steering: this was the base model). The car holds the road well on good tyres, and the brakes pull up square.
Reason for sale: a family member has had to give up driving, and I no longer have storage for the car.
