Parting ways with my 1980 Bedford J 1 Ute. This is a rare find in the New Zealand market - a classic commercial vehicle that's still in good working order after all these years. It has a powerful 6.2-litre diesel engine paired with an auto, making it a capable workhorse even by today's standards.

The ute has three seats in the cab, offering room for a couple of passengers alongside the driver. Being NZ new, this Vauxhall has spent its entire life on our roads and has done 89,000 kilometres in its 45 years - quite reasonable for a vehicle of this vintage.

It's becoming hard to find these old commercial vehicles, especially ones that still run well. The fact that it remains in good working order shows how well-built it is and the care it's received over the decades.
