1979 Vauxhall Other Chevette X20XEV PROJECT

Vauxhall Chevette 2 door sedan project Has been sitting for a long time on the to-do list but time to face reality and move it onto someone with the time to finish.

Keeping it in the family I have mounted a 2l dohc Opel ecotec x20xev in place with machined water block and modded sump. 115ks on the motor when pulled from crashed, but running doner vehicle. This has been mated to a RWD 5speed holden box but still needs the clutch setup and the slipper driveshaft modified to suit. Gemini larger diff and sway bars installed. 3core radiator, electric fan, modified fuel tank and new fuel lines run. A new fuel filter, oil filter and leads come with. 3 peice 15inch custom rims, holding air well but only driven on a few times on another gemini I had.

Interior is fair but needs a scrub from sitting for so long. Parts should all be there plus some as I had multiple cars I dismantled over the years. Photos show a number of parts, I also have the glass and bumpers which are not sown in photos. There is also the rest of the wiring from the doner Opel Calibra and the required ECUs if you want to go std ECU route.

Painted 10yrs ago but I didn't get around to applying the Clearcoat and the paint has failed in places from sitting unfinished and moisture getting through the unfinished paint. As per the pics you will see surface rust coming through the paint. I have had a good look over and I can only see one area on the drivers side sill were it will need a small rust repair. The other areas should be manageable by sanding, treating, and repainting. Best to view as my opinion could differ to yours!

This was a daily driver prior to pulling down for paint however the rego is not live anymore, I de-registered the wrong plates by mistake! I was the last registered owner though so wont be an issue to re-reg when the time comes.
