2015 Volkswagen Cross Polo Tsi 81Kw
Background check
Description
Selling my 2015 Volkswagen Cross Polo TSI 81KW – a practical hatchback that's been great to drive. This NZ new model has the efficient 1.2-litre petrol engine paired with auto, making city driving and commuting stress-free.
As the first owner, I've kept it in excellent condition. It offers a practical package for its compact size, with a five-seat layout that works well for daily use.
Features:
- Tow bar fitted, adding versatility
- Reversing camera helps with parking
- Reliable performance with good fuel economy
- Easy to drive, great for navigating tight city streets
- Higher driving position than standard Polo models
It's been a reliable commuter that's cheap to run. The Cross Polo sits slightly higher than the standard Polo, giving it a better view of the road and a bit more ground clearance – handy for rough driveways and speed bumps.
If you're looking for a well-maintained hatchback that combines German build quality with practicality, this could be a great option. Have any questions? Feel free to ask!
Questions & Answers
Hey, just checking have you replaced water pump and cambelt? paramdhanjal (1 • 4:20 pm, Wed, 7 Jan )I have had the car for several years and I don't remember. It just gets serviced annually and some things get updated. Is there an issue with water pumps and cambelts in Cross Polos? stevemendoza (90 • Wednesday, 7 January 2026 )If m not wrong it usually needed to b done around 100k-110k kms paramdhanjal (1 • 4:25 pm, Wed, 7 Jan )Like I say, it gets serviced every year so has not shown up as an issue. The air-con was replaced last year. stevemendoza (90 • Wednesday, 7 January 2026 )Would you take $6250 ? carlo1 (74 • 3:57 pm, Thu, 8 Jan )No, but I'll consider $7,250. stevemendoza (90 • Thursday, 8 January 2026 )As above question, if a proper new cambelt kit had been installed, then the owner would've gasped at the jaw dropping cost and would remember that costly nightmare. I suggest if owner can't remember that frightful bill, then it hasn't been done, thus the new owner will have to undertake. If the owner could read old receipts or ring his usual mechanic? this may definitively answer all. Many thanks daves151 (0 • 4:03 pm, Mon, 19 Jan )Cambelts need replacing between 100,000 to 160,000km or 4 - 7 years. This car is almost 10 years old and 123,000 on the clock. Replacement cambelt will cost about $1,000 according to the Ebbett service guy. So I guess any car older than 4 years OR with 100,000km on the clock is at risk, which covers most 2nd hand cars on the market sold privately and via TradeMe. The cambelt has not been replaced. So I guess you are not going to buy the car then. Have a great day. stevemendoza (90 • Monday, 19 January 2026 )Hi there, are you able to find out for me if cambelt's been changed? It's quite important to me. Thanks daves151 (0 • 12:02 pm, Wed, 21 Jan )Thanks for finally being up front and honest. It helps us buyers heaps. daves151 (0 • 2:51 pm, Wed, 21 Jan )
