Description
For Sale: The Perfect “His and Hers” Car (Yes, Really) Up for grabs is my beloved Volvo — reliable, stylish, safe, and surprisingly emotionally supportive. It starts every morning without complaint (unlike me), gets you from A to B without drama, and has never once judged questionable life decisions. Why you’ll love it:
- Starts every time. No rituals required.
- Smooth, solid drive — calm and confident.
- Stylish and sophisticated: pearly beige (officially white) exterior with cream leather interior.
- Well cared for and only mildly yelled at in traffic. Maintenance: Regularly serviced, responsibly driven, and treated better than most houseplants. Manly enough, girly enough: Tough enough for your man to feel manly driving it (yes, it has a towbar), with 3 pre-set seat configurations so change-over is effortless. Still very much a ladies’ car where it counts. Luxury where it matters: Light-up driver’s make-up mirror (mascara at red lights = a breeze), heated leather seats (elite winter comfort), dual-zone climate control, plus all the bells and whistles listed below. The vibe: Reliable, practical, quietly luxurious. It’s a Volvo — exceptionally safe, comfy, and stylish. Why I’m selling: This hurts a little. I’m getting older and my lower back has decided the seat is just low enough to be rude. Not a sports car — but still requires more grace than I currently possess. Price: Fair, negotiable, and far cheaper than buying new and crying in the dealership parking lot. Hardcore facts: ABS * Eco Drive * Adaptive Cruise Control * 4-cyl Turbo * Stability & Traction Control * Push-Button Start * Power Steering * Overdrive * Central & Remote Locking * Dual-Zone Climate Control * Driver & Passenger Airbags * Alloy Wheels * Retractable Electric Mirrors * Electric Windows * Fog Lights * Heated Full Leather Seats * Immobiliser * ISOFIX * Parking Sensors * USB * Bluetooth & AUX * CD/FM Stereo * Digital Display * Towbar Viewing and test drive in Hillcrest.
Questions & Answers
Hi. Does this car have a cam belt or chain? Do you have a service history ? frosty351 (72 • 10:11 am, Wed, 31 Dec )Hi. Thanks for your question. It has a cam belt. And apart from the turbo being serviced 2 months ago, there is no service history, sorry. marky27 (630 • Wednesday, 31 December 2025 )Reason for sale? Service history would be ideal, was their a shop you'd take it to who would have kept records? grete2 (127 • 10:58 am, Sat, 3 Jan )Hi. Reason for sale is simple: I am tall and my back and knees need a car with a higher seat. This is a beautiful and stylish car and I really love it... until I have to get out of the car... and it takes me forever. marky27 (630 • Saturday, 3 January 2026 )As for the service history: I bought it from a guy in Wellington who did not have any service history. I never experienced any issues until I decided to sell it and found a video online stating that this type of car needs its turbo serviced. So, I thought I would do my due diligence and took it to a service place here on the North Shore. I have the details of the turbo service, which was the only one arranged by me.
