Bought a traded in 2007 Volvo V50 from Richard. It was a high mileage (> 200K) car and would have minor issues here and there (mostly cosmetic and interior). He said it was a good value for money car and that the previous owner is a lady lawyer whom took great care of the car. The car had been regularly serviced by the previous owners as mentioned by Richard. However after I got the car and got it serviced (the next day) problem arise. The coolant for the engine is low (not topped up) and may be leaking somewhere. The engine mount (cost $500 to repair) was not good and will not pass WOF. What happened to the ‘regular servicing’. There are also multiple chips on the windscreen although he told me that it’s been fixed. Not sure to believe him anymore. To sum it up, I think Richard is not being very honest here but well I can’t expect a salesman to be honest. Am disappointed as I thought with his experience, he could offer more but it’s just sales. If you are looking for a car here, either you bring someone who is good with the technical aspect of a car or you are good at it yourself. If not, BEWARE of what you are getting into. Last but not least, there is none after-sales service or warranty whatsoever. Just a good ‘advice’ to go for regular servicing.
