horse float
Description
JR JEM double horse float. Rego N560C. Built 2009, but extensively maintained over the years. All panels apart from "roof" replaced once and repainted a few times. Electrics replaced using LEDs. Firestone tyres and spare all in very good order. Additional, high tie ups and removal of midline barrier in line with natural horsemanship recommendation to reduce claustrophobia. It is a bit lighter than most floats, but built using standard, strong, Trojan components. Horses travel exceptionally well, due to lack of noisy fittings rattling and less claustrophobic than most floats. Our highly skeptical pony eventually loaded really willingly. Is 1 metre shorter than most floats, but that makes it very light and easy to handle. We have floated up to 15.2 h.h. horses, sometimes over long distances, such as the Bryndyrwyns. The padded, front and rear bars are easily removed to make it into a very handy trailer - holds 30 hay bales, also the quad bike easily fits. A very handy trailer for all sorts of jobs, not just horses. Really don't want to sell it, but rescued a 16 h.h. TB who is just a bit squashed in it for long journeys. There is a rear/tail bar - which is quickly removed. Just not in photo, which was taken in a hurry. Measures 1.9m between chest and tail bars. Plenty of head room for up to 15.2 h.h. horses. Dimensions inside - 1900 between front and rear bars, 1500 across full width of float, 1050 from chest bar to the floor.
