Lola Mk1 Replica Racing Car
Description
A Peter Bruin built Lola Mk1 that is an exact replica of BR-28, which was originally constructed by the Lola Works in 1961. It was built along side the full and faithful restoration of BR-28 and is identical in every way, including the original option 1200cc Coventry Climax engine. The car is road registered, and has a current registration and warrant. It is ready to drive away. Although perfect for track days and events, it is equally suited for the Sunday road trip to somewhere for a quiet pint. Great fun to drive and a real head turner.
Questions & Answers
That is absolutely gorgeous, I guess the question I have is can you have any fun with historic racing or does the 1200cc motor relegate it to the back of the field even against cortinas and hillmans ?? snakeoilstu (452 • 11:34 am, Mon, 2 Feb )Not at all! The Coventry Cyclone is a proper race tuned engine, and the whole car is super light. You will be the last on the brakes into, and powering out of every corner. It is super fun to drive, even for a total noncar guy like me. Cheers flashpoint1 (27 • Monday, 2 February 2026 )Is the body fiberglass or all alloy? 1990mazdamx5 (68 • 10:01 pm, Tue, 3 Feb )
