Triumph Dolomite Sprint Race-car
Description
This car has a COD and is accepted into the CMRC pre-78 class. Modifications LTSA certified, rego on hold.
Purchased from a Motor Museum in 2022, it came with:
Ported, polished, hardened head, Carillo forged pistons, machined 1850 donor block with new rods and Sprintspeed block strengthening plate allowing revs to 7,500. STR139 Group A camshaft, vernier cam sprocket, 32 degree max magnetic distributor, twin Dellorto 45DHLA carbs, 148 at wheels, runs on 98 octane fuel.
2024 Engine rebuild: As above with new block, replacement crank, new oil pump and competition PRV, new electric water pump, timing chain tensioner, chain and guides, distributor cap, and oil cooler. Sprintspeed stainless steel rolled thread competition head studs. Original head crack tested and refitted.
Porsche alloy radiator with alloy header tank, electric fan. No overheating or head gasket problems.
Replacement magnetronic ignition 2023, new electronic kill switch system and battery cabling, starter reconditioned and new alternator.
Gearbox: Dolomite 4 speed with overdrive on 2, 3 and 4 (toggle switch on gear shift), Sprintspeed lightened flywheel and twin plate clutch.
Rear suspension upgraded by Elite Race Engineering 2023 with new springs, custom Koni adjustable dampers.
Bilstein front shocks, adjustable sway bar. Quickrack steering. Capri 4.1:1 LSD with uprated half shafts, power assisted brakes with braided hoses, Wilwood 4 pot front callipers, new 255mm vented front discs and race pads, rear 9” drums, powder coated
Triumph wheels with 5 near new tyres.
Spares: head (standard with valves etc), new Payen head gasket and extra cam cover gaskets for servicing.
