Alfa 75 V6 'Busso' Group A BTCC spec car
Built by John Pogson Italia Autosport UK. IMSA & BTCC ‘tribute’ car to replace the real mccoy he was racing.
VIN from 1988 75 Turbo. This new 1988 shell went to Dallara for full BTCC spec suspension.
AP brakes with outboard brakes at rear Olin 5-way adjustable shocks all round. Double wishbone rear suspension, all period correct. Killer stance - 3.0 deg neg camber & correct ride height. 17in wheels on 235/40/17 Hankook Sportex AR-1. Ran slicks in UK I understand.
V6 Busso 3.0L block. Built well-known Uk engine builder & rebuilt by GER Akl.
Link Xtreme ignition with coil on plug and sequential injection with set of Cosworth slide throttle-bodies.
Lightened crank pulley with ring-gear carrier (no flywheel at back of engine). AH Motorsport ring gear Subaru tensioner Headers from Extreme Tuning Transaxle diff all Chris Snowdon CS-Racing UK. Low-ratio dogbox with straight cut teeth & 1:1 5th gear. Has a Bacci Romano gear box via Chris Snowdon of CS Racing UK. LSD and Tilton twin-plate 7.5in racing clutch. All recent fresh.
Ran in the fast group of ERC Classic Race Series (NZ), before additional work was carried out.
