Beowulf

Beowulf 1963 Sports Car designed and built by Ian Horley using a A35 as a mechanical donar .that had been flattened by a tree . The next year he fitted a brand new GT Cortina motor and Rocket gearbox and came 3rd in the NZ sports car championship . After a few years Richard Wright from Cambridge purchased it finished a rebuild and raced it for around 30 years all over the country. I have restored the body , rebuilt the engine , gearbox ,new tyres , brakes , fuel tank , and raced it this season , it is a great competive , fun car to drive , i have all its history ,photos hand written notes from Ian and Richard .
