Vintage Chev
Description
Chev National 1928. Absolutely original. Never had any restoration work. Belonged to my neighbor who has passed away and now selling on behalf of his daughter. It was registered and driven right up to 1989, when apparently got a pin hole in the carburetor and subsequently parked up where it sits now. Unfortunately, the registration has lapsed. The carburetor is off and sitting on the running board. There is no rust or body damage and to me the upholstery just needs a good clean. I can take more photos of any specific areas, just ask. Added a couple more photos. When it was used as a wedding car back in the 80's and the owner found a spare engine in another shed, which she is happy to throw in. I had a question about the front bumper being missing. Looking at this, it looks like this model didn't come with front or rear bumpers. If you require more info, contact Janice on 021645276.
Questions & Answers
Just for your information. I had a '28 Chev National and they definitely had front and rear bumpers. Mine was warranted and registered and in very good overall condition. I sold mine in 2021 for $12k. You might be a little high in your pricing for one not running that has been off the road for 37 years. In any case good luck with your sale. Yours definitely looks worth bringing back to life. intercepter (56 • 6:04 pm, Sun, 12 Apr )Hi, thank you. The reason that I had suggested that it was possibly a model that didn't come with bumpers was; The photos Janice has of the car when it was still in use shows no bumpers, and I don't see any fixings on the chassis to hold bumpers. Out of curiosity I have googled several images of this model and you are correct. They do appear to have bumpers and look like there some extra brackets on the side of the chassis rails holding them . I will pass your comments on to Janice. 42harley (105 • Sunday, 12 April 2026 )
