1957 Cadillac Eldorado Brougham
Description
Offered for sale is an extremely rare and desirable 1957 Cadillac Eldorado Brougham.
The Cadillac Eldorado Brougham was a hand-built, limited edition car with only 400 examples produced in 1957. These 1957 and 1958 models were considered to be one of the greatest Cadillacs of all time and the most expensive ever built.
The Brougham was built with luxury features, including the brushed stainless steel roof, suicide doors, quad headlamps, cruise control, automatic trunk opener, autoronic eye (headlight dimmer), power windows, forged aluminium wheels, transistorised radio, air conditioning, and a choice of 44 full leather / trim combinations was offered to new buyers.
- Dual-four-barrel-carbureted 365 cu. in. V-8
- Four-speed Hydra-Matic automatic transmission
- 325 HP
The extravagant car was delivered with a vanity set that included a magnetic tray in the glove box that held metal drink tumblers, a built-in tissue box and a bottle of Arpège Extrait de Lanvin perfume. These items remain in this car.
The ’57 Brougham was privately imported into New Zealand in 2005, and it has been displayed in a collection since. It has only done 31,690 original miles and retains the original engine / under bonnet, interior, and trunk compartment. The importation paperwork is with the car.
This Brougham is body number 181 out of 400 hand-built, and is in a well-preserved, original condition. The black Ebony paint code is 110, and the trim is numbered 1411.
The Cadillac runs and drives, and is a serious collector's car.
Genuine enquiries only please. The car may be advertised elsewhere.
