2/3 Horse Truck - The Hino Hilton

The much loved ‘Hino Hilton’ is on the market for the first time in over 30 years. This truck has been a trusty friend and this is a very difficult sale but since my partner has purchased a new truck in March we don't have the need for 2.

Hino Ranger FD174B 1988 175 HP Tare: 5880 218,298 Km as at 17/12/2025 New WOF valid till Nov 2026 Exhaust Breaks 2 x huge Diesel tanks. 2 x 150 watt solar panel 250 water tank 150 grey water tank Shed Stored for the past 5 years since de-rusting. Portable toilet if you want this :-) Large Luton Crawl through. Certification not required due to age of conversion.

The living area is in need of a ‘do-up’ inside but it wouldn’t take much. Some wood panels need replacing and the wall carpet needs re-gluing or replacing with something a bit more modern. The cupboard doors need replacing and some new eyelets on the crawl through. A handy person could easily do this themselves.

This truck has a great feel. Horses travel well, and it’s easy living. The large door gives a real feeling of space.

Set up for 2 large horses, originally built for 3 but we’ve customised it with sliding partitions for 2. See photos.

Gas is connected to Fridge. (The connections to the show are there, but not intact. They all work however technically the way the califont is set up is not legal so left disconnected) ‘ Nov 2018: Chasey sand blasted and painted. Ramp replaced in Cab de-rusted. Also a few spots recently done.

Everything works great and this truck is mechanically sound. Suit lady owner with a couple of horses.

Much loved. I’ve been almost everywhere in New Zealand including the 5 weeks in the South Island. It was registered as a motor home with the Motor Vehicle Association however I let this lapse (the re-require a re inspection every year which is easy enough)
