Launched December 2004. Built from John Welsford plans using 5 layer & 7 layer Meranti marine Plywood and Kahikatea stringers. PE glue & stainless steel screws. 3x coats primer, 3x undercoat and 4x top coat enamel paint. Re-painted and re-varnished over last 12 months - a 5 yearly job? 3.6m (12 foot) sail/motor/row boat with custom made (USA) 4 sided 'balanced lug-sail', alloy 2 piece free-standing mast and fibreglass yard & boom. It all folds up and fits inside cockpit. Easy single handed rig-up & sailing. Yet this boat handles 4x BIG adults in any conditions!

Complete new Donaghys braided ropes, halyards & Ronstan blocks & rigging fitted this year, pivoting tilting rudder. Drop-down pivoting (10kg weighted) centreboard.

1980's Suzuki 2hp outboard - bulletproof and utterly reliable - pushes boat at 5-6 knots.

1980's? Reid galvanised trailer - new WOF & Rego expires August - jockey wheel, spare road wheel, winch, lightboard.

Folding anchor, chain & 50m rope in anchorwell, 2x paddles, 5x rodholders, bailer. Huge buoyancy chambers/storage lockers. Great for camping-cruising.

Its a stable, easy to rig/easy to sail and DRY boat. Has handled 1 metre + choppy waves on Lake Tarawera, Raglan and Tauranga Harbour entrance. Sailed in 20 knots + winds easily when reefed. 85 sq ft Duckworks (USA) 5oz Dacron, reinforced sail with reef points.
