OBD Automotive Pin-Out Box connector for OBD OBDII OBD2 CAN E-OBD 12 volt

The product uses OBD2 16 pin male + female double cable connection

This OBD2 connector plug is for the 12 volt systems only

FUNCTION & SUGGESTED USES

1. connect the Pin-Out box to the vehicle OBD2 socket
2. connect your diagnostic tool to the Pin-Out box OBD2 plug
3. test the vehicles ECU / DME (computer and modules)
4. the Pin-Out box can function as an extension cable for your OBD automotive diagnostic tool
5. take voltage and other multi-meter readings from the Pin-Out box terminals, if required

Note: it is never recommended to take volt-meter or other readings from the front of the vehicle OBD2 socket as that could cause arc damage or other harm / contamination to the OBD socket pins. Either test from the back of the OBD2 socket or use a Pin-Out box

1. minimises the requirement for a technician, auto-electrician, mechanic, engineer, to cut / splice / join cables, to connect for alternative wiring
2. some manufacturer/s use alternative wiring schematics with some pins, and this Pin-Out box can assist to overcome that problem (as per # 6 above)
3. use the Pin-Out box with an automotive Oscilloscope kit (see our other listings for Foxwell OS100 or NEXAS NS400 o-scope kits)
