Background check
Description
MINI Leyland 1979
This Mini started life in Dunedin and was purchased by the Dunedin Hospital Board to be used by the plunket nurses for a few years. It then had two or three new owners before we purchased it back in 2001. It was then stripped bare and spent almost twelve months in a panel beaters premises where any sign of rust was removed and repaired in the old way without the use of bog. It has had a major engine and gearbox rebuild in 2016 prior to completing the Pork Pie Rally in 2017 where anything that was showing wear was replaced. We completed the Pork Pie Rally again in 2019 covering approx 5500 ks in each rally with no issues. The windscreen was replaced with a laminated screen prior to the rally's. The front seats were replaced with seats from a Mazda and fully certified. The rear seat cover was replaced with the cover from the Mazda seat to ensure everything looked the same. It is fitted with Mini Lite mags, has a rev counter and radio.
Looking for a classic car with personality that's economical and fun to drive? This MINI could be just what you're after.
