Description
Rover 16 saloon. Export model, made for a few months in 1947 after WW 2 , rare P2 model which were made between 1937 -40 and 1947. This is a 6 cylinder , 67.5mm bore, 2147cc model . The overhead valve engines were advanced for the times, the range of engines were all based on a 100mm stroke and contributed to the slogan ‘One of Britain’s Fine Cars’ noted for refinement and engineering excellence with a 4 speed manual transmission 3rd and 4th synchro, with Freewheel. Built 17 Sept 1947.
Heater, sunroof, instrumentation and radio!
Despatched from the Rover Company Ltd on 21 October 1947 to Wellington Motors Ltd. Restored 1979-81 when reregistered.Current owner for 18 years. Rover and Vintage Car Club member.
Good paint and mechanicals.
