Description

Fresh anti foul and hull paint, November 2025.

Everything you need to go anywhere this summer in the gulf, she a very strong and capable boat.

Includes 2.8m Inflatable and 5hp Mercury outboard - can help with mooring options also

If you want to buy, ring me, come see the boat, shake my hand and talk in person, dont waste my time with questions on here..

No major issues, I keep her in good shape.

Over $120k spent on repairs and upgrades since I have owned her, just came back from an amazing trip to Great Barrier and Kawau island last Waitangi weekend.

She wasn't in the best condition when I got her, a lot of time and money spent removing and replacing soft wood, all brass off, sealing leaks, filling gaps and repainting everything. So much has been done, a full photo diary kept to show all the work. Have fitted solar power, fridge, mains power, LED lights throughout, electric pump for holding tank, dingy davits, the list just goes on.

Survey from March 2022 available to serious buyers or feel free to have a new one done at your expense.

  • Lovely boat, amazing what a coat of paint can do in many ways? WHY SELLING HER NOW AFTER SHORT OWNERSHIP PERIOD IS THE BURNING QUESTION? jACK? mojos (95) • 10:31 am, Wed, 12 Oct Simple. It’s not an ideal first boat and Im out of my depth tlmtech (1136) • Wednesday, 12 October 2022
  • And it’s not just a coat of paint either. Practically all the bulwarks were rotten the timber work done far exceeds the coat of paint Seller comment Wednesday, 12 October 2022
  • Thanks for your honest answer, i know the boat well, resisted buying as im 76 yrs. young , but dont have what it will take to give her new life, tou have made a good start! Jack. mojos (95) • 12:34 pm, Wed, 12 Oct Yes I had big dreams, but 50ft and 22 tons seems to be more than I can handle basically. I lack prob 10 years of solid experience to really handle her well tlmtech (1136) • Wednesday, 12 October 2022
  • What a pity, i can tell you its a real commitment, i did a n identical project on same size pilot 14 yrs. ago, also lovely boat, in adition to initial purchase,$3000,000 later, she was a delight!, sold her at a $ loss, sorry to be negative, best way is divorce wife and live on boat!( boats and wives , not a good combo!) Jack mojos (95) • 12:57 pm, Wed, 12 Oct yeah well, 15m and 22 tons isn't forgiving, you make one mistake, and its an expensive one. to be honest, the stress of trying to get her on piles in the wind did it for me, maybe in time that will improve, in which case ill keep her. but yeah. no wife, and no commitment is for me atm. tlmtech (1136) • Wednesday, 12 October 2022
  • Hang in there atm you only have one Sheila to please, persevere , you have twin screws, good engines keep the throttles SLOW!, use the engines and counter rotating props., she will respond, she knows how to , practice is the answer and perhaps some hands on advice from one who knows, its almost a forgotten art. now we have thrusters everywhere! Jack. mojos (95) • 4:48 pm, Wed, 12 Oct yeah. stressful situation tho. reminded me of my ex wife. tlmtech (1136) • Wednesday, 12 October 2022
  • FORGOT to say, you have paited her nicely, she is a keeper!Jack mojos (95) • 4:51 pm, Wed, 12 Oct yes shes good. but, im not the best owner for her, there is someone out there with much more experience and desire than me. tlmtech (1136) • Wednesday, 12 October 2022
  • Ha!, wives eh?, let me have your contact , perhaps i could help with your aqua wife? Jack mojos (95) • 5:45 pm, Wed, 12 Oct cheers tlmtech (1136) • Wednesday, 12 October 2022
  • hi buddy i was interested in this vessel before you brought her but couldnt get up north in time and you scored her i would still be keen to buy her BUT i would be round the 80 grand mark as old wooden boats are not worth anything at the moment and very very hard to sell as it took old mate previous owner two years to sell her let us know what ya think cheers gonesailing4 (22) • 9:08 am, Sat, 22 Oct Mate I’ve spent that much since I got her and I’m still spending. If you think you can enjoy this boat for all the money I’ve spent and work I’ve done you are really talking to the wrong person. I’m not selling at anywhere near that price and I’ll just keep her. tlmtech (1136) • Saturday, 22 October 2022
  • I’m out in her now on my way to coromandel. I’m not desperate on any way at all to sell, plenty of $80k boats on trademe Seller comment Saturday, 22 October 2022
  • ok thanks skip best of luck gonesailing4 (22) • 10:11 am, Tue, 25 Oct Yea tlmtech (1136) • Tuesday, 25 October 2022

  • yes theres a few boats on here were the owner is not desperate to sell and have ridicules price on them mate if you want to sell it put on a price to sell other wise you are just taking up trade me space old woodern boats are not worth a million dollars any more times have changed the next generation is not interested in old wooden boats and those that were are now traveling round in camper vans cheers gonesailing4 (22) • 4:39 pm, Mon, 2 Jan ok so so much of what you have said is just plain stupid its actually hard to answer, so as you are clearly a bit of an internet troll I'm not really going to bother. You missed out mate, simple, and I've spent $89k in 2022 on her, and are currently painting topsides, thats more you miss out on too, as I'll never sell to you. FYI, trademe has unlimited space, they will be using scalable servers and will just allocate more space dynamically as its needed. tlmtech (1136) • Monday, 2 January 2023
  • Coming from a woman, I saw this boat and thought about buying it with the money from my house sale, it’s beautiful. But, yeah if you struggle to look after her then I have no chance in hell 😂 having never owned a boat before… rubyblue74 (420) • 4:05 pm, Tue, 14 Feb oh shes a great boat, no doubt about that, and when you are on the water its fine. But when it comes mooring on the poles up the river, or dropping anchor (and raising) you need two people. tlmtech (1136) • Tuesday, 14 February 2023
  • now this is getting really interesting 🫶 I reckon you’ll make heaps from a book…do it you two uno1 (260) • 12:31 pm, Thu, 16 Feb huh ? tlmtech (1136) • Thursday, 16 February 2023
  • All this b/dust is chocking, just need to know if there is room for more fuel capacity barnezy53 (2) • 12:35 pm, Sun, 26 Feb could add more tanks under fwd berths - 200-300L each side but custom tanks would need to be made. tlmtech (1136) • Sunday, 26 February 2023
  • Just got to say you have a magnificent Vessel she has stood the test of time as a pilot Vessel and now pleasure good luck there is always something for everyone it just may take time. In a way I agree with that negative chap about wooden boats are not everyone's cup of tea but there is still a hell of a lot of wooden boat lover's who think fiberglass boats are the devil work. Wooden vessels are a pice of ART especially the well maintained ones. Good luck my friend. gunta666 (44) • 11:02 am, Fri, 3 Mar Yea looked after is the main thing and no matter what this boat will we’ll and truely last the test of time as they say, I’ve made sure of that and whoever owns her next won’t be buying her without commitment to do the same tlmtech (1136) • Friday, 3 March 2023
  • One thing for sure you will never where out those beautiful Gardner’s. I had a very old LW in Lady Shirley and it was thought to had done more than 50000 hours and I think it is still going good. charley6 (509) • 4:29 pm, Sat, 22 Apr yes the engines are well known to be bulletproof tlmtech (1136) • Saturday, 22 April 2023
  • All v. interesting comments, apart from the vulger swooping offer of 80g.(DREAMER), stick to your guns & or the ineperienced ladies interest, may be an alternative option? Jack. mojos (95) • 10:51 am, Thu, 11 May yes, im not letting anything bother me, im still using her, still doing upgrades, bring her out of water in a month and do some more painting, The right person will buy her one day. Until then all I have to do is keep the listing active tlmtech (1136) • Thursday, 11 May 2023
  • Smart vessel. Worth the asking price. mariner67 (24) • 6:20 pm, Sat, 5 Aug thanks tlmtech (1136) • Saturday, 5 August 2023
  • Love this vessel, if I wasn't mortgaged up I'd buy it in a heart beat. brent2045 (59) • 2:19 pm, Wed, 28 Feb Liking her more myself too now. spent $100k so may as well just keep here. tlmtech (1136) • Wednesday, 28 February 2024
  • I’ve worked on much larger vessels, you’ll get the hang of it mate. Have a few ex super yacht captains and engineer mates up North if you need some advice. Enjoy brent2045 (59) • 6:08 pm, Wed, 28 Feb ive been all round the place in her now, other side of coromandel, up north, barrier all over, no problems anymore. just really want a cat instead now. tlmtech (1136) • Wednesday, 28 February 2024
  • I’m happy to pay K100 because of the vessels history this is a one of offer providing the garners are a ok sheindoors (34) • 5:19 pm, Tue, 19 Mar not quite sure what you are saying, but im not selling her for $100k if thats what you mean. it can be as one off as you like, I don't care, ill keep her at that price. tlmtech (1136) • Tuesday, 19 March 2024
  • i’m not sure if you know how to buy a boat or not but it goes like this: first you meet the owner, and inspect the boat, then you enter into a sales and purchase contract and agree on terms and pay a deposit, usually around 20%, then you organise a sea trial or out of water survey at buyers expense and then once satisfied commit to the contact and move to handover. this is what i went thru and what most serious people do. Seller comment Tuesday, 19 March 2024
  • I know the vessel I know engines I’m single but the accommodation is nothing to be proud of even for a single Man U have my offer it’s your call it’s a vessel that I think has class but is not everybody’s choice sheindoors (34) • 5:44 pm, Wed, 20 Mar your offer is an insult. I have spent that much bringing this boat up to the standard it is now. ive already got plans to build a double bed up front, but hey. it is what it is. but dont act like your offer is worth anything, because its not. plenty of sub $100k boats on trademe that will suit your offer. tlmtech (1136) • Wednesday, 20 March 2024
  • My offer is worth something $100,000 as I said I know the vessel and the engines please forgive my honesty sheindoors (34) • 2:37 pm, Thu, 21 Mar IM sorry, but its not worth it to me. i have spent $100k since i got her on improvements and bringing this boat up to the standard it is now. there is nothing wrong with this boat, no issues of any kind that would worry anyone. if you want her, youll have to do better than $100k because at that price i keep her and keep going out there on weekends. tlmtech (1136) • Thursday, 21 March 2024

  • shes beautiful , a piece of history preserved currently working in the mines in wa looking to retire back to nz will be back end of october. Would be interested in arranging a viewing closer to the time if she doesn't go before i get back. What is her fuel range on the existing tanks ? any other rot or work that may need attending to on her ? cheers farr37 (79) • 9:27 pm, Tue, 20 Aug all the work is done, the timber is sorted. i currently have the steps out for repainting and anti slip, im part way thru installing hot water tank, been quite busy tho and haven’t made it out there for a bit. 450nm on full tanks. she is great, you are right, some solid history. i purposely kept all the photos hanging inside that show her over the years. talk to me when you are here, happy to show her off to someone serious who’s willing to come look at her with me the right way. thanks tlmtech (1136) • Tuesday, 20 August 2024

  • Swing moorings are nightmarish!! This boat is beautiful I think the price is very good value and you are not wasting time if you are not in a rush .Two blokes on here are wasting your time one in particular is obviously jealous he missed out!! There is a surprisingly strong wooden boat scene in nz and a global appreciation in younger people today in things that are crafted from traditional materials good luck selling or enjoying her! yankee706 (266) • 2:07 pm, Sun, 1 Sep actually im on piles, they are painful.. swing mooring is ok for me. Im loving the boat really, im not rushed to sell, only looking to sell to someone who will appreciate her.
