2005 Honda Odyssey
Background check
Description
Selling my 2005 Honda Odyssey station wagon, which has been a reliable and practical choice for getting around.
This is an imported model with a 2.3-litre i-vtec petrol engine paired with an auto. It's easy to drive and fuel efficient, which makes it great for commuting or longer trips. The Odyssey is well-known for being spacious and versatile.
It's in excellent condition and good working order. It comes fitted with a reversing camera, which is handy for parking, and an alarm for added security.
The car handles well and has been dependable throughout my ownership. If you're after something practical with plenty of room and a solid reputation for reliability, this could be a good fit.
1 con the head unit only works when it wants to. Could be a easy fix or just put a new headunt in. Priced accordingly.
Happy to answer any questions or arrange a time for you to come and check it out.

Questions & Answers
Has the transmission ever been serviced. agentcody (150 • 1:32 pm, Sat, 2 May )Yes, it got serviced when the oil filter was done. The oil was mint. troy330 (17 • Saturday, 2 May 2026 )Has the cam-belt ever been replaced agentcody (150 • 8:13 pm, Sat, 2 May )The cam-belt hasn’t been replaced as it’s only at about 122,000 km—Honda generally recommends timing belt intervals closer to around 160,000 km for these models. It’s running smoothly, and it’s not due yet, but of course, regular maintenance is always key. troy330 (17 • Saturday, 2 May 2026 )You state the transmission has been serviced. do you have a written report receipts and mileage for verification. agentcody (150 • 10:20 pm, Sat, 2 May )Yes — the transmission fluid service was carried out during routine maintenance. While I don’t have a full written report on hand, the vehicle has been regularly looked after, the fluid was checked at the time, and it drives and shifts exactly as it should. troy330 (17 • Saturday, 2 May 2026 )Do you have a written report or not? agentcody (150 • 3:23 am, Sun, 3 May )No, I do not have a separate written transmission report on hand. What I can confirm is the vehicle has been routinely maintained, the transmission has been checked during servicing, and it is changing smoothly with no faults or issues. troy330 (17 • Sunday, 3 May 2026 )It is well known honda transmissions fail and are way too costly to fix —- in most cases more than what they are worth. agentcody (150 • 5:01 am, Sun, 3 May )As with any make or model, individual condition and maintenance history are what matter. This particular Odyssey is driving exactly as it should, the transmission is smooth, and there are no warning signs or faults present. troy330 (17 • Sunday, 3 May 2026 )Are you an expert automatic transmissions agentcody (150 • 6:28 am, Sun, 3 May )No, I am not claiming to be an automatic transmission expert. I am simply giving an honest representation of how the vehicle is currently performing, which is smooth, fault-free, and exactly as it should be. troy330 (17 • Sunday, 3 May 2026 )I will keep looking until I find one that’s got a reconditioned transmission with receipts. Most get scraped when they die especially twenty year old plus models. agentcody (150 • 9:12 am, Sun, 3 May )Thank you for your input. As stated, this vehicle is currently operating smoothly with no transmission faults, and any interested buyers are more than welcome to inspect and test drive for their own peace of mind. troy330 (17 • Sunday, 3 May 2026 )
