1971 Rover 3500 P6 3.5 litre

This Rover P6 3500 is in good condition for it's age. It has covered only 105K miles in it's lifetime. It still has that lovely Rover ride and looks good enough for the Queen (she had one!).

The engine starts, drives and pulls well. It features dual SU carbs and electronic ignition. The low V8 rumble fits the grand tourer nicely. The 3 speed gearbox shifts smoothly.

The interior is leather. The stitching on the front seats has come away, but the seats are very comfortable. The rear seats are in good condition. All the windows and electrics work fine.

It brakes operate well, but the rear pads squeak when coming to a complete stop when they are warm. Changing the rear pads should remedy this. The tyres are in very good condition with lots of tread left on them.

The red paintwork is good although there are a number of small stone chips that have be touched up with a brush. There is a small bit of rust on the usual spot on rear guard ( see photo ).

It has just passed the WOF with no issues at all. The car is located in Kaiapoi just north of Christchurch.
