1973 Triumph 2000
Description
This 1973 Triumph 2000 offers vintage charm and practicality. I'm parting with this NZ new vehicle that's had just three owners over its life.
2.0-litre petrol engine runs well with manual transmission and electric overdrive. The car has been kept in good working order, making it reliable despite its age.
Last owner was a retired mechanic. I have owned it for 11 years and now it's time to sell as I no longer have the time to enjoy it.
It seats five with a spacious interior that was built for families. The Triumph 2000 was known for its comfortable ride and solid construction, with an independent suspension system that was quite advanced for its time.
Features:
- NZ new with three owners
- Manual transmission
- Spacious five-seater interior
- Maintained in good working order
- Becoming increasingly rare on NZ roads (Carjam states only 21 of this model in the country)
If you're interested in this classic British car or have any questions, don't hesitate to get in touch.

Yes surface rust scattered around the car as you'd expect with a car of this age and price. Nothing structural though, that has been identified. platinum_4wd (95 • Monday, 15 September 2025 )Re the mechanic who owned this car. He was my uncle and was meticulous in the restoration of this car before his passing. Unfortunately, he never got the chance to finish it. The car looks like it has been well looked after in your care. Would be a great buy for the next owner. Dont normally comment on someone's ad but thought it deserved a mention. Good luck with the sale. kelichbeke (84 • 7:24 pm, Mon, 15 Sep )Thanks very much. My father-in-law was good friends with him.
