Description
The EV Power LRCD is a portable IC-CPD EV charging cable designed for electric vehicles fitted with a Type 1 inlet. It is ideal for Japanese imported EVs and suits everyday home charging, travel, or backup use.
The charger supports selectable charging currents of 6A, 8A, or 10A, allowing you to reduce load when using older wiring, shared circuits, or limited power supplies. At 10A, it delivers up to 2.3 kW of charging power from a standard 230V single-phase outlet.
The total cable length is 7 metres, consisting of a 1-metre inlet lead and a 6-metre vehicle charging cable, providing practical reach for most parking situations.
Despite being a compact portable unit, full safety protection is built in. This includes 6 mA DC residual current detection, allowing use with a standard Type A RCD where permitted, and an integrated temperature sensor in the AU and NZ three-pin plug. If excessive heat is detected, charging will automatically stop.
The in-line control box uses LED indicators for simple status feedback, with no display.
