Can the ferrule be removed to shorten the braided cable housing?

Please

use tools to cut the tip off and slide back the ferrule(or directly

take off ferrule), wrap tape at the place you need to cut (to prevent

fraying) make cut, leaving a bit of the tape on the end, carefully slide

the ferrule over the freshly cut end.

It can only shorten not lengthen, please make sure the length is correct before cutting.
