UNDER OFFER Is this the most original Mk2 in NZ? Exceptionally rare opportunity to own an “original” Mk2 with a full mechanical rebuild.

This car has only travelled 65,000 miles from new. The interior and exterior are all original. The car was in a private collection for 45 years when I purchased it 2 years ago.

A complete rebuild of the mechanical side of the car has been undertaken to recommission including:

• Full engine rebuild with receipts for over $10,000, including rebore 20 thousand new oversized pistons and rings, rebuilt heads
• New water pump three core radiator, hoses
• Rebuilt all synchro gearbox, overdrive, clutch
• New master and slave cylinder
• New brake master, rebuilt callipers, pads hoses
• Full new exhaust $2,500

A total of over $20,000 in parts and machining, not counting 100’s of my hours dismantling and reassembling. Matching numbers.

The car sits beautifully on period original Dunlop mags (x 5) and drives beautifully. The interior is stunning with original unrestored woodwork, leather, head lining and carpets.

Car has passed a WOF check and now needs to be recompiled although it comes with live Mk2 plates as well.

Stunning presence in deep green and tan interior. You will not find a more original mechanically as new Mk2.
