Description
Every now and then, a classic surfaces that feels like it’s been waiting patiently for the right person. This 1963 Jaguar 3.4 MK2 Auto is exactly that car — a beautifully restored, NZ new, matching numbers example that has spent many years tucked away indoors, preserved, admired, and quietly ageing with grace - Now it’s ready to be brought back to life!
This MK2 is not currently running, but the hard work has already been done. The body has been stripped and repainted, the interior has been completely retrimmed, the walnut veneer restored, and the engine rebuilt. It looks every bit the classic British sports saloon it was meant to be — it simply needs someone to complete the final recommissioning and return it to the road.
If you’ve been waiting for a straightforward, rewarding project that ends with a truly stunning MK2 Jaguar, this is the one.
Highlights: NZ New – First registered 21 November 1963 Matching numbers: Engine KJ2180 8 / Chassis 164545BW 3.4 litre XK DOHC straight six Bare metal respray As new interior Detailed underbody & engine bay Restored walnut veneer Straight panels, excellent gaps, good chrome New Dayton chrome wire wheels + splined hubs included Parts included for recommissioning
Note: This Jaguar is NOT running. It was partially reassembled after restoration and then stored indoors. Some components including the radiator, water pump, plug leads and a few other small fittings need to be installed.
For anyone with basic mechanical ability this is a very easy recommissioning project. The car does not need welding, panel work, interior work, or major mechanical overhaul, just final assembly, fluids, and start up procedures.
This is not a rusty barn find — it’s a beautiful garage find. A car that was restored with care, stored with respect, and now needs the right person to complete the final chapter.
