2017 Mitsubishi ASX Xls

Sadly parting with my 2017 Mitsubishi ASX XLS ‘Junior’. I'm the third owner of this NZ new SUV, and it's been a great car to own. It has the 2018 body style with updated rear reflectors, exterior, and interior, but was registered in December 2017 despite being a 2018 model.

It has the 2.0-litre petrol engine paired with an auto, which makes it easy to drive around town and on longer trips. The fuel economy is great for an SUV of this size. I get around 800 kms to a tank (63L) with combined driving, which helps keep running costs down. The CVT transmission helps keep economy running at an optimal rate, but it has got a sport mode for a more rapid acceleration if desired, and a low mode for downhill engine braking assistance.

Inside, there's good space for five people and plenty of room in the boot for the weekly shop or weekend gear. The reversing camera is a handy feature that makes parking straightforward.

The ASX has a solid reputation for reliability and is well-suited for daily commuting or heading out of the city when needed. It's been a dependable vehicle that handles everyday use well. Has the odd light scratches from previous owners and daily use, but is purely cosmetic. It also comes with service and owners book, service history (as mentioned above), and a spare key. I will be sad to see it go but I have acquired another vehicle and I can’t keep both vehicles. It’s been a great car and I’m sure the new owner will love ‘Junior’ just as much as I have.
