New bid limits to protect sellers
Today we have introduced a limit on the number of auctions each member can bid on. Members will be limited to bidding on an absolute maximum of 100 auctions (or buy now purchases) in a given 24 hour period.
This has been introduced to stop scammers (or automated software) bidding on large numbers of auctions where there is no intent to purchase.
Plain-text seller emails
Sellers can now choose to receive end of auction emails in plain-text.
Follow the link provided at the bottom of your next end of auction email to make the switch.
CourierPost Trackpaks prices reduced
We have reduced the prices for the CourierPost Trackpaks. Your order of Trackpaks will be delivered by CourierPost within 2 business days.
You have to be Address Verified and have a Feedback rating of more than 50 to purchase the Trackpaks. The “Buy Trackpaks” button can be found on your MyTradeMe page.
Last logged in date now available for all members
You can now see the last day that a member logged into Trade Me on their feedback page. The “Last logged in” date is available on the top right-hand of the page.
The change will help other members, in the event of communication problems, to see when you are away from Trade Me for an extended period.
Changes to auction close emails for sellers
We have updated the auction close emails sent to sellers.
Emails sent for successful auctions now include the shipping details from the “Payment / shipping” field.
For unsuccessful listings, we now also provide you with the number of bidders/watchers on your auction at the time of closing.
