Due to the Labour Day holiday there will be a delay in processing payments to your Trade Me account made by phone or internet banking.
If you pay by these methods please be aware that payments made after 10pm Friday 24 Oct will not be processed until Tuesday 28 Oct.
Enjoy the long weekend!
You may have heard some talk about a security vulnerability named Poodle (“Padding Oracle On Downloaded Legacy Encryption”) which affects browsers relying on an outdated Internet security protocol called SSL 3.0 or SSLV3. Because of the vulnerability we will no longer be supporting this old protocol.
The good news is that very few Trade Me members will be affected. We know the vast majority of members are using new versions of browsers which include newer and more secure security protocols. You do not need to update your browser if you are using Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Internet Explorer 7 or a later version, or Opera 5 or a later version.
A small number of members using older browsers may experience issues visiting secure Trade Me pages and will need to update their browser. We know this might be a bit of a hassle for these members, but it’s an important change and part of providing our members with a safe and trusted marketplace.
We’ve just made a change to the way search results are displayed in the Home & Living category.
Starting today, when you’re in this category you’ll see a new visual page layout when searching and browsing. The appearance of each listing depends on an improved range of promotional products available in this category:
• Basic: Small image in search results.
• Gallery: Medium image in search results (2x larger than Basic) and higher position in the category.
• Feature: Large image in search results (4x larger than Basic) and best position in the category.
• Feature Combo: Highlights listing and includes all benefits of Feature. More...
Trade Me is going to be unavailable between 2:00am and 3:00am tomorrow morning for scheduled maintenance. All auctions that are due to close between 2am and 3am will be extended by two hours.
We apologise in advance for any inconvenience this may cause.
