New: Video on Trade Me Motors car listings
If a picture is worth a thousand words, imagine what you can do with a video!
From today on the desktop site, you can add videos to your car listings on Trade Me Motors. Showcase your car to potential buyers by either adding a video when you create your listing, or adding a video to existing listings – there’s now an area in the Photos & video section on the desktop site where you can do this.
New photos need to be a minimum of 500 pixels
From today, any new photos (doesn’t apply to relists) uploaded to listings within our General Items categories will need to be a minimum of 500 pixels on the longest side. Photos need to meet the required dimensions in order to be uploaded.
These changes only apply to our General Items categories, with a couple of exceptions. They don’t apply to listings in the Movies & TV categories, or Trade Me Property, Trade Me Motors or Trade Me Jobs listings.
Why are you making these changes? More...
A new way to browse with homepage searches
Over the last year we’ve changed the look and feel of search results and listings in our General Items categories. The new designs are more visually appealing and should make it easier for you to browse listings and quickly check out their main photo.
The new layout has now been rolled out to search results when a search is made from the homepage – previously this was only available when you searched within a General Items category. This means when you run a search from the homepage you’ll now see the new and improved look and feel, as well as listings from other categories (like Property, Motors, Jobs and Services).
We hope you enjoy.
m.trademe.co.nz has closed down
We’re always working hard to improve the Trade Me experience for our members. To focus on building better products, sometimes we need to stop supporting older versions of our sites. From today, our m.trademe.co.nz site has been closed down.
If you’ve been using m.trademe.co.nz and still want to visit Trade Me on your mobile device, we have another mobile site called Trade Me Touch that has been designed specifically with small screens in mind. Your device should be capable of viewing this mobile site instead, so we recommend giving it a go.
