Small update to our Store benefits
From today we're increasing the high volume listing (HVL) minimum allowance from 100 to 150 listings for all Trade Me Stores.
Book a courier working again
We're back! 'Book a courier' is working again. Apologies again for any inconvenience this has caused you.
Book a courier outage
Unfortunately, our 'Book a courier' service is having some issues, and bookings aren't able to be made.
Packages booked before this outage are unaffected, and will go ahead as normal. However you will not be able to view the booking information for your packages during this time.
We're working on the problem and hope to have it up again soon. We will update this site announcement when it's back up and running. More...
We’re updating our terms & conditions
We’ve rewritten our main terms & conditions to make them clearer and much easier for everyone to understand. They’ll come into effect on 4 March 2019.
We’ll also be making some updates to the information in the terms, and we reckon these are the most important changes you should know about:
• Intellectual Property (IP) licence: We’re making our IP licence clear, to help us use member content in marketing, to develop products, to help members relist things etc. This means we will have the right to store and use member content (such as listing descriptions and photos). In the past this was discussed in our privacy policy, but we think it’s clearer being in out terms too.
• Moving specific information: We’re taking specific information out of the main terms and moving it to the relevant site policy e.g. firearms policy, special vehicle-related requirements (such as the Consumer Information Notice (CIN)) and guidelines for shipping charges. Overall, this keeps our terms generic and easy to understand. For more specific info, it’s best to go to the relevant policy or terms. More...
Changes we're trialling on Trade Me Motors
We want to make it easier for you to sell with Trade Me by simplifying the way you list and promote cars including the removal of auction success and withdrawal fees.
Today we started A/B testing some changes with 10% of members. If you’re in this test group, you may notice a new listing process, different fees, and a longer listing duration if you list a car for sale. If the changes work well for members, we’ll roll them out to more members over the next few months.
