Upcoming change to the sale of bees
We’re updating our policy on the sale of bees, hives and related equipment on Trade Me. From 12 March 2018, beekeepers must include their registration numbers in the listing description when listing bees or hives for sale on-site.
The sale of diseased bees, hives and equipments is also prohibited, and we are updating our policy to include this in line with the Biosecurity Act.
For more information, take a look at our blog.
Scheduled maintenance
Trade Me will be unavailable on Saturday, 24 February between 2am and 5am for scheduled maintenance. All auctions that are due to close between 2am and 5am will be extended by four hours. We apologise in advance for any inconvenience this may cause.
We’re switching off AutoBase
On 26 March we’re switching off autobase.co.nz, our website for motor dealers.
We’ve decided to focus resources on making DealerBase a better listing tool for our motor dealers.

We also see some listings with inflated shipping costs, which results in a poor experience for buyers. Overall, we expect more sellers will offer free or low-cost shipping and increase their sales.
