Buying & Selling Lions Tickets

There are a number of Lions rugby tickets for sale on Trade Me – some being offered by an agent of the New Zealand Rugby Union and some being offered by independent parties.

The New Zealand Rugby Union ticket terms and conditions (http://www.nzru.co.nz/index.cfm?layout=termsConditions) place three key restrictions on the on-selling of Lions tickets. Specifically they say that:

1. Tickets should not be resold at a premium;
2. Tickets should not be used for commercial purposes (such as prizes or as part of hospitality prizes);
3. Tickets should not be bundled for sale with other goods or services.

We draw members’ attention to these conditions and in particular suggest that sellers consider ensuring that Lions tickets are not offered at a premium to their acquisition price.
