Small change to Buyer Protection Policy
On 29 November we’ll be making some small changes to the Buyer Protection policy. Along with some minor wording adjustments, the main changes are:
• ‘Faulty goods' will be explicitly covered by the Buyer Protection policy.
• When a buyer claims an item isn't as described, then they are now responsible for showing that they have returned the goods to the seller via tracked delivery (or something similar). More...
'Book a courier' now available for any item
Today we’ve made ‘Book a courier’ available for any item*. Whether you’ve sold your item on Trade Me, or have something else you need to send, you can book a courier for your item and have it picked up from home.
To book a courier, go to ‘My Trade Me’ and you’ll see the new ‘Book a courier’ option.
*Up to 25kgs and within the terms and conditions of the courier company.
Update on ‘Book a courier’ price change
Yesterday we made a change to our ‘Book a courier’ prices. We made a mistake and didn’t exclude listings that were created before this price change came into effect. This will mean that some members will be charged a different courier price to what they were quoted when they added ‘Book a courier’ to their listing.
We didn’t intend for this to happen, so we will be refunding any affected listings next week (when all affected listings have closed).
Apologies for any trouble or confusion this has caused. Please let us know if you have any questions.
We’ve updated our help pages
From today, you’ll notice our help pages have received an update – a big one, in fact! We’ve cleaned them up and made information a lot easier to find.
You might come across some ‘old’ help pages from time to time, as we haven’t removed all of them just yet. For now though, it’s best to use our snazzy new Help centre the next time you need a hand.
Our listing policies have been updated
As we announced on 18 October, we'll be making a small update to our listing policies.
This change will mean that sellers listing in the ‘Electronics and photography’ category may only have one listing per identical item.
Sellers that list variations of an otherwise identical item, such as different colours or sizes, will need to use Multi Variant Listings (MVL) unless they've received prior written approval from us to create separate listings.
